Updates from RG 2011

Please take note of the General Rules and Regulations  here and important changes of Residential Games 2011 as below.


1. About the Registration
Participants are strongly encouraged to form their own teams, only the captain/team manager will be contacted by the organisers regarding the administrative requirements of RG2011. The captain/team manager of each team is required to provide names, students’ numbers, and residences of all the members in the team, together with a team name by his/her email. The organisers will contact the captain/team manger via this email, please check your mailbox more often.
(Participants register with a formed team shall be given priority)


All the participants are required to print in the Indemnity Form and submit the completed forms together with the refundable registration fee on Monday 17th January

2.      Refundable Registration Fee

On Monday 17th January 2011

Payment for $10 / pax registration fees and collection of tee shirt will be done on this day, 17th January 2011 (Monday) at PGPR Foryer.

On Monday 24th January 2010

Refund of $10 / pax will be done on the 24th January 2010 (Monday) at PGPR Foryer.

3.      Venue
All events will be held on SRC & MPSH

4.      Number of team members

a.      Basketball - Number of players per basketball team is 7 (including 2 reserves).
Duration for each basketball game is set to be 10 minutes game, followed by 3 minutes break and 10 minutes game (total of 25 minutes per game with 2 minutes buffer time)

b.      Futsal - Number of players per futsal team is 7 (including 2 reserves).

Duration for each Futsal game is set to be 10 minutes game. Futsal game shall be played using the outer markings drawn in SRC (bigger futzal court)

c.       Netball - Number of players per netball team is 10 (including 3 reserves).

Duration for each netball game is set to be 15 minutes game.

d.      Badminton - Number of players per Badminton team is 2 (with no reserves).

Duration for each badminton game is set to be 10 minutes game

5.      Safety Requirements

The Residential Games Committee, hosting residences, Office of Students’ Affairs and/or its appointed officials shall not be held responsible for any injury or death to any player or official during, or as a result of his/her participation in the games.
In the event of the heavy rain, for safety consideration, all games shall be cancelled with immediate effect.

Registration Form

Some of you asked me about the registration details, so here you go! Now you can register in our official blog. If there is any further request, please email us at the provided email address or post on our facebook's fan page. Do spread the words to your friends as well because this is purely an exciting sports event you just cannot miss!


RG REGISTRATION IS OUT!

Hey folks,

We hope you are coping well with school so far. There are three more weeks to final examination, study hard, take good care of yourself but don't miss the fun stuff out there to enjoy your life. You only have it once anyway.

So, before final exam period, call your friends to form a team and register for Residential Games 2011 to win attractive prizes and take home an exclusive Residential Games 2011 T-shirt as well! Registration form is here.

Types of Sports:
  • Badminton: Female, Male and Mixed
  • Basket Ball: Female, Male
  • Futsal: Male
  • Netball: Female
(Please take note that rackets will not be provided.)

The First Residential Games in NUS History!

For the first time ever in NUS, the Residential Games 2011 which is organised by the Residential Life Team will take place on 22nd January 2011(Saturday) in MPSH in order to create a sports platform for residents from all over the three residences in NUS namely PGPR, RVR, KFH, YOHA @ Commonwealth and YOHA @ Boon Lay.

More than 200 residents will participate in four sports, Badminton, Basketball, Netball and Futsal.
